| First things first, I need help getting Vega shoes, you'd think it would be easy... I am epic failing. HELP PLEASE! In other news, got to present my first cosplay show with Joe on the weekend at the Cosplay Roadshow. Loved, very grateful for being given the chance to try out being on stage on the other side of things. It's much harder than it looks but still very enjoyable, I hope to get another chance soon, it's no secret I'd love to present the masquerade sometime. Just a quick passing message, had a wonderful time seeing lovely people, you know who you are! Laters xxx PS: Listen to Pride of Lions, best band ever - Location:Home

| Thought I should probably write something about Aya here before it's out of everyones' minds! I'm not usually one for writing "reports" so only going to write a little bit...
Don't really know where to start apart from WOW! What a con.... This year continues to impress me, seems that magic element of "FUN" has returned. Things were getting a bit too competitive and bitchy for my liking, but lately things have really chilled. Aya really summed this up, seemed everyone was having a really good time and enjoying themselves!
This was my first Aya... first impressions? Let's start with the venue. It was perfect for the parties in the evening, and the stage was better still, it gave a really nice touch to the masquerade and Sunday Night Live. In the daytime though I found it was too large, people would be spread all over the place so in the end I spent most of the time sitting outside by myself looking like the littlest Emo... At least the weather was good.
Masquerade was enjoyable, ran on time like everything else at the con, very impressed with how organized everything was. Was a nice set up, enjoyed the time I had on stage with Kaka, and thankfully I was early enough to watch most of the other performances too. I especially liked the Soul Calibur group, makes me want to do Raphael again! The Edea and Squall have also inspired me for something in the future... we'll see, I love the whole Sorceress and her Knight thing!
Highlight of the weekend has to be the Sunday Night Live show that was put on Sunday night... Was great to do the Rocket dance on stage.. I got lots of lovely feedback from it such as: "You suck at dancing!" and "you may as well have just given everyone the birdie!" to name a few... I suck at Dancing! Maybe this is Lex's way of getting me back?!?!?! Was still really fun though. Obviously the highlight for me was the Auction... don't think I've ever felt so tense! The "little" dude is now "sitting" in my chair, think he just winked at me. One thing for sure is that he misses his buddies, so I hope you all come to visit him soon! Thanks Nert for the great photos, you really captured the event, and to Rob for playing along so nicely with our sillyness! Got a great picture of me sitting on TOm's shoulders, we had far too much fun at this event!
I have to mention the Street Fighter Tournament. Great atmosphere, sadly, despite me going on all weekend about not wanting to fight Gief in my first round match, I still had to face him! I played pretty well, got some nice EX Izuna Drops in and a Bloody High Claw, even a few kara throws but it wasn't enough... pretty embarrassed about going out so early on but hey better luck next year. Maybe if I stopped playing Vega.... he's a bottom tier character... but he's so pretty! I regret not giving Matt Mercer a game though!
Was great to get to hang out with the Chumps again, Tio just came up with the awesome idea of all of us chipping in and buying the Uni, then we could live in Con land! Great idea lol! Was cool to catch up with Tio properly this time.
All in all this was a great con... I can't decide between Aya and this years Minami for the best con... this year has been awesome for cosplay, I'm finally having fun again! Roll on October, can't wait to finally cosplay Vega.
Only low point was Alex eating my rice puddings... LOL!
On that note, I'll leave it, I could say so much more but well I can't be bothered if you want the honest answer! Catch you all later, xxx - Location:Home

| I'm planning on doing a costume for Aya last second... I have one problem... I don't have a wig, and I've also cut it a little bit too fine to get one in time... so... if anyone has a wig similar to this I can borrow: Then I will be forever in your debt! Thanks! | |

| (I am very Lazy so I just copied this comment I left on Kazz's page"
I for one am getting bloody sick of sore losers. For goodness sakes, cosplay will get you NOWHERE in life. Even if you are the greatest in the world, you are still not a big superstar, so why kick up a fuss over a competition in one of the smaller cosplay communities?
Cosplay should be FUN! For goodness sakes people need to get a grip.
I'd just like to say a big fat f*cking thank you to the bastards that have been spreading this idiocy. Thanks to you we have lost one of the UK’s best cosplay judges. I always felt that Kazz was in this for fun, I will keep repeating that word. She is very open minded and takes a genuine interest in people’s hard work. I’d also like to say I am sponsored by a video games company… but would not blame that on me not winning anything on Saturday… I’d blame that on myself… being the lazy git that I am! Guess what though?.. I still had so so so much fun! I can see this all going like America with law suits filed etc! On the same note I for one am DREADING this bloody European league, it's so unnecessary. In my opinion the UK cosplay scene has a very dark future, I for one am not looking forward to it. It’s getting far too serious for my liking, and too stressful, but then maybe that’s just because I can’t keep up anymore.
Seams slightly hypocritical that I say cosplay has “no meaning” as such, to then be so passionate. It’s a hobby we all care about, but I think we need a reality check on the whole thing!
This is just the beginning, losing someone who had such a passion for cosplay. I may be being my usual over dramatic, over zealous self but this community needs to wake up and get a life! I have never spoken about this but well it needed doing. - Location:My Gundam

| First things first, I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that turned up to my party last weekend! I had such a wonderful time and I am so flattered! I need to give a special thanks to Nia for organizing this and the Grand Cosplay hotel for putting me up again! I am so happy that I even bothered to post! Apparently according to a certain world famous cosplayer I do not use LJ enough, and that EVERY major event is advertised here... that certainly told me...
There is a certain individual I must mention in particular. This would be Dez! I really can't thank you enough for the wonderful Birthday gift. I am amazed at the box you created, I can see you have put so much time and effort into it, it really means a lot. I had great fun trying to solve it on Saturday night when everyone was sleeping! It was very tough and original, I was quite proud of myslef when I solved it, must be that WFC gene... The game Growlanser looks amazing, you definitely know my taste in games! The main character Haschen is perfect, I intend to start this game tonight! (Expect to hear regular updates, I'm going to be raving about this for months)!
I won't review the whole weekend but I will point out some of the highlights....
The kareoke, despite not singing was really nice to see you all sing.... Perrin is amazing at singing, wasn't expecting that lol! You could all sing so well is one of the abilities I wish I possesed....
Watching Alex sing Hakuna Matata, EPIC!
That cake... how did I not suspect anything, the pictures Nia took were totally priceless!
Totally annihilating everyone at Soul Calibur... sorry kids. (Let's hope I don't have to play Amy again she got too close to beating me)!
Just being a group again, is so sad that we hardly spend any time together.... Maybe something here in Bristol soon, watch this space.
Nothing really new in my life, the only major thing is a new job vacancy that has appeared for a certain company I have always wanted to work for... fingers crossed,
I can't forget to mention my new OBSESSION with Gundam... it has lead me to my new fave Bishie, Char. Hence I hope to cos him at Minami, but then I hope to do a lot of things. Char in the Hyaku Shiki.... hmmm . Oh and don't forget the new Chun Li's butt craze.
I'll try to get on here more often if I can physically remove myself from the Xbox
Until next time xxx - Location:Home

| Hello strangers, thought I had better make a post on here since I haven't in a very long time....
Sooo where to begin...
My job is safe! Managed to avoid the cuts so I feel a little better now, can spend again... Some 360 games and a new TV will be a good start.
Costume is ready for the ball as is a re-wear of Seymour just touched up a tad.... Oh so excited about it should be a laugh, I need to find a fan for it though! Should be fun in the box...
Games the next big thing... back on 360 after my break playing FF8, hence me doing Squall next year, I hope.... Got right back into Soul Calibur and have been happily kicking everyone at it.... well sort of ha. Enjoying editing Mazi and Raphael so they are totally topless, definitely worth it. If anyone fancies a game online let me know is always fun to get a game going!
Doesn't Mirror's Edge just look gorgeous? Will certainly have to pick that up, been addicted to the soundtrack so that should be all fun.
Not much else to report really.... things have happened but none really worth reporting.
See most of you at the ball

| My greatest admirer informed me that I was not keeping this up-to-date, so here we are ....
Ok main tasks for this week:
1 - Complete Warriors Orochi 100% as in 1000 gamer points, (getting my priorities right of course).
2 - Collect ALL materials for costumes and make a start. I have to start early this time no excuses! I can't wear my bedding as a costume again.
That's about it. Work has been interesting, I'll be moving over to a new team for a new challenge. This really excites me now that I can see I am finally going somewhere. Just got to be careful seeing as things are so happy and good atm will be easy for me to let up but I need to keep moving forward. "My ambition cannot be stopped!" (not a steal from DW)....
Other news, joining a Kendo club with two of my coleagues, suppose I won't have an excuse then when Lex kills me in about 2 moves, I need a new physical hobby. These sessions will also include Ikedo, (is that how it is spelt?) too. So watch out.... yeah..... ummm NO.
Got in Neo this month, wooo go me. Haven't counted how many times now... to think the first time was October '06, god I have been cosplaying for almost 2 years, doesn't feel that long!
Ok epicness from games.... well lately I have gone Warriors mad, seeing as I am sponsored by Koei thought I had better get in the swing of things, so bought DW5 Empires, Warriors Orochi, DW6 and DW Gundam... that'll keep me busy, pressing one button has never been so fun, gamer points are rolling in though so hey it's all good!
DW 6 at first made me feel ill, but it hasd grown on me. It is such a beautiful game and the music is really stunning. Some pretty moving moments too and I am rather impressed with the way that the historical events are covered too. I have fallen for Ma Chao, Taishi Ci and Xu Huang's character designs. I've actually fallen for Zhang He he is just... well amazing.
Orochi has been fun too, Cao Pi being the main source of epic points, he is too arrogant and amazing. Definitely has the best lines. Here's one of the top of my head:
Huang Guy - "Take my head and feed it to your snake..."
Cao Pi - "I have no need for your filthy head!..."
Is funny in context.... honest
Oh and I like Xu Huang's - "I shall not be labeled a fool by chartalan!"
Why did they decide to make Dong Zhuo harder than Lu Bu? He is actually the main source of comedy now I come to think of it! Ok let's find the quotes....
"Ha! Look at them, thinking they're gonna win! I'll soon have them drowning in their own blood!"
"What in blazes did you think you were doing?! Drag your sorry carcass there, and reclaim that mountain from those worthless vermins!"
Anyway don't ask. The bit that made me laugh most does not work on it's own.... maybe another time!
Darrin and I currently looking for a room for Expo... I want to get an appartment but so expensive!!!! I am hoping I get to share a double bed obviously....
I should probably go seeing as I have work in 5 hours or so but hey I'll post some more soon, wouldn't want to make a certain someone upset....

| How many people have put that as the subject... all the cool cats me thinks....
Finally got to catch up on writing about the fabulous weekend I just had, (really had to catch up on my man points, was having withdrawl symptoms)...
Where to start.... think I'll just pick up on random odds and ends...
Firstly a huge thank you to Phil and Annette for allowing me to stay at short notice! You were both top hosts, and Phil your cooking is amazing, as you said yourself when you throw a party, you throw a party!
We spent the Saturday looking for lots of cosplay materials and the like. Started off in an amazing craft shop, I finally now know what styrofoam is! I spent the whole time trying to pick a DW costume from mine and Dez's magical art books of doom.... I have only just decided.... go me.
Nia and I decided we were too cool for Burger King so ate nothing instead, we're just cool like that. Mind you I did have some coffee which I had to then hold on the hottest train. I really needed it though, I NEED coffee in the morning!
What can I say about the material shops at Shepherd's Bush?.... Never seen so many in all of my life and just so hard to find what you want... not because of lack of choice but quite the opposite! I will have to visit again in the next few weeks to actually get what I need.
Nia then showed me that bloody "bring on the trumpets" advert. WTF?!?!!?
The evening party was amazing. No one was stupidly drunk though I did decide to be a little bit silly with shotting the melon drink (what was that)? We also felt the wrath of Dez's massages of justice, now I finally know where Kat's deep fear comes from... My wingman decided to leave early, thanks Dez!!!
Most of the banter evolved around THE world famous cosplayer Lex of course, much to her approval. LOL.
We had a suprise guest that made me pass out with pure joy.... the JAMES!!!!!
We then slept in an oven was great.
Sunday everyone was pretty shattered. Most people played on their Nintendo Lamoids, I stuck with my good old PSP. We then went out for lunch which was nice, but nobody wanted to go in to town.... I cried.
(You know I think this has turned into a bloody school trip report, oh well, sure no one actually cares about any of this...)
When it was sadly time to go, the cool crew decided not to listen to my words of wisdom and walked out in a monsoon, Nert's pictures pretty much cover this. Thanks so much to Kat for letting us crash at hers an extra night! I then spent the night in awe at Perrin's mega game collection and then sucked at Soul Calibur for the rest of it.
All in all a really chilled weekend, really nice to get to know people more and actually relax for once! I am actually missing you guys a lot, but hey sure we'll meet very soon! Nice to see you all jump on the Koei wagon too!
I'd better go, my Xbox won't play itself, laters. - Location:Home
